Job summary

Land Pride, a division of Great Plains Mfg, seeks an experienced 1st Shift Fabrication Operator for our Lucas, KS facility. The role runs Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with overtime on Fridays as required.

The operator will set up and run fabricating equipment (laser, saw, punch press, brakes) to cut, shape, and bend metal parts, while verifying dimensions and maintaining quality. Safety gear and OSHA guidelines apply.

Qualifications

Experience operating fabricating machines such as laser, saw, punch press, and press brake.
Ability to interpret specifications and verify machined parts.
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to quality.
Willing to be cross-trained in different shop areas.
Understand safety policies and OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

Set up, tend, and operate fabricating machines that cut, shape, and bend metal parts.
Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments.
Set stops or guides to required length.
Observe operation to detect defects or malfunctions.
Measure pieces to ensure accuracy.
Perform basic maintenance like oiling machines.
Assist others in setting up and moving finished work pieces.
Follow all safety policies and wear PPE.
Other duties as assigned.
