Job summary

Hennig in Illinois's Machesney Park campus is seeking a hands-on assembler to fabricate and rework metal enclosures with thorough, exact output. You will read blueprints and diagrams, use SAE/Metric tape measures, and operate standard power and hand tools to assemble parts accurately.

In a fast-paced manufacturing environment you will strive for high quality and on-time delivery while supporting all production areas as needed.

Qualifications

• Read and follow blueprints, diagrams, and written procedures.
• Must lift up to 50 lbs and stand for full shift.
• Experience with measuring tools and quality procedures.
• Willing to pass drug screen and background checks.

Description

• Assemble fabricated Metal Enclosure. Repair and rework assemblies efficiently while producing an output that is thorough and exact
• Operate power/hand tools, measuring devices, and instruments used for assembly.
• Ability to read, interpret and follow blueprints, diagrams, tape measure (SAE & Metric) and other written instructions or procedures.
• Complete troubleshooting steps for mechanical equipment per inspection procedure guidelines
• Perform in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, while maintaining high quality and on-time delivery
• Support all areas of the production area as required

Requirements

• Requires lifting and carrying up to 50lbs.
• Ability to stand for duration of shift
• Ability to withstand heights up to 30 feet.
• Experience operating Forklift and Overhead Cranes a plus.
• Must keep a clean and safe working station complying with procedures, rules & regulations
• Must be willing to submit and pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
• Ability to climb on ladders.
