Job summary

Sauder Manufacturing Co. in Ohio is seeking a Materials Management Associate I to support production with a range of materials handling tasks on the shop floor.

Responsibilities include filling work orders, kit foam, cycle counts, pulling materials, unloading deliveries, and ensuring product is stored properly while maintaining safety and 5-S standards.

Qualifications

• Attention to fine detail and detail-oriented.
• Must be trainable and licensed on a forklift and other powered vehicles.
• Regularly lift 50lbs, up to 75lbs occasionally.
• Able to read, write and follow instructions.
• Maintain 5-S audits and daily cleaning.

Job description

Position Summary:

The Materials Management Associate I will perform a wide variety of duties and responsibilities including support production.

• Fill work orders
• Kit foam
• Cycle count
• Pulls materials for production and delivers to proper department
• Unloads deliveries and place product in designated areas
• Spot-checking for incoming product for quality specifications

Position Requirements:

• Attention to fine detail/ must be detail-oriented
• Ability to be trained and licensed on a Forklift and other Powered industrial vehicles
• Regular lifting of product up to 50lbs. and occasionally up to 75 lbs.
• Regular maneuvering and position of product using pallet jack or carts up to 2,000 lbs.
• Requires full shift of standing, walking, carry product, bending and lifting.
• Able to read, write and follow instructions, both written and verbal.
• Able to use handheld power tools with accuracy and precision.
• Able to assist in training employees
• 5-S audits and daily cleaning
• Ensures a safe working environment by conforming to all safety guidelines including, but not limited to, wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE)

Experience and Knowledge Required:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous Manufacturing Experience preferred
