Job summary

Sauder Manufacturing Co. in Archbold, OH is seeking a Machine Operator I to set up and operate machines with repeatable processes and manage a minimal process mix.

You will read work orders, use basic measuring tools, and troubleshoot as needed, while maintaining a safe work environment on the shop floor. The role requires detail orientation, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and the capacity to stand, walk, bend, and lift for the full shift.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and precision in tasks.
• Regular lifting, maneuvering, and positioning of product up to 50 lbs.
• Full shift of standing, walking, bending and lifting.
• Able to read, write and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Able to use basic hand tools.
• Able to assist in training employees.
• Adheres to safety guidelines and uses PPE.

Position Summary:

• May be required to do setup and changeover
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving
• Able to use basic measurement tools
• Read work orders

Archbold:

• Hot Press & Finger Jointer
• Radial Bending & Planer
• Clamp Carrier/Molder
• Sanding Benches
• Veneer Cutting

Position Requirements:

• Attention to fine detail/ must be detail-oriented
• Regular lifting, maneuvering, and positioning of product up to 50 lbs.
• Requires full shift of standing, walking, bending and lifting
• Able to read, write and follow instructions, both written and verbal
• Able to use basic hand tools
• Able to assist in training employees
• Ensures a safe working environment by conforming to all safety guidelines including, but not limited to, wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE)

Experience and Knowledge Required:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous Manufacturing Experience preferred
