Job summary

Trinidad Benham in LaGrange, GA is seeking a Material Handler to support the production department in packaging operations. The role focuses on preparing metal, coordinating rolls, pallets, and ensuring smooth workflow on the shop floor.

You will maintain inventory flow, assist press operators, keep work areas clean under GMP standards, and perform other duties as required. This position offers full-time hours in a manufacturing environment with weekly pay and benefits.

• Stamina to function during busy plant periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Prep metal and have ready prior to roll change. Assist pan operators in changing out parent rolls.
• Keep trays assembled and ready for use by press operators.
• Keep finished pallets wrapped, ticketed, and transferred to warehouse.
• Keep constant supply of items essential to production.
• Keep trash bins emptied regularly.
• Process bales of scrap metal and handle related paperwork and location of finished bale(s).
• Maintain GMP cleanliness by removing dust; sweeping aisles and perimeter runs; remove cobwebs from walls and ceilings.
• Any other duties as requested or required.

Key Responsibilities

To perform duties required by supervisor to include but not limited to the following:

• Prep metal and have ready prior to roll change. Assist pan operators in changing out parent rolls.
• Keep trays assembled and ready for use by press operators.
• Keep finished pallets wrapped, ticketed, and transferred to warehouse.
• Keep constant supply of items that are essential to the production.
• Keep trash bins emptied on a regular basis.
• Process bales of scrap metal. This includes but not limited to processing and distribution of all paperwork and location of finished bale(s) to proper location.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of plant to GMP standards by removing dust and debris, etc. Sweeping main aisles and perimeter runs on a daily basis. Keeping cobwebs removed from walls and ceilings.
• Any other duties as requested or required.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Stamina sufficient to function effectively and work needed hours during extremely plant busy season. Ability to lift 50 pounds.
