Trinidad Benham in LaGrange, GA is seeking a Material Handler to support the production department. You will prep metals, assist roll changes, keep pallets and trays ready, and ensure a clean GMP-compliant work environment.

Qualifications

• Stamina to work during busy production periods.

• Ability to safely operate a forklift; slip sheet experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prep metal and assist with roll changes.
• Keep trays assembled and ready for press operators.
• Wrap and transfer finished pallets to warehouse with tickets.
• Maintain a clean, GMP-compliant plant environment.
• Process paperwork and locate finished bale(s).
• Support supervisor and perform other duties as required.

Location: LaGrange, GA

Description

Provide material handling assistance to the production department.

Key Responsibilities

• To perform duties required by supervisor to include but not limited to the following:
• Prep metal and have ready prior to roll change; assist pan operators in changing out parent rolls.
• Keep trays assembled and ready for use by press operators.
• Keep finished pallets wrapped, ticketed, and transferred to warehouse.
• Maintain constant supply of items that are essential to the production.
• Keep trash bins emptied on a regular basis.
• Process bales of scrap metal, including processing and distribution of all paperwork and location of finished bale(s) to proper location.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of plant to GMP standards by removing dust and debris; sweeping main aisles and perimeter runs daily; keeping cobwebs removed from walls and ceilings.
• Any other duties as requested or required.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Stamina sufficient to function effectively and work needed hours during extremely plant busy season.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Reading, writing and math ability sufficient to maintain the documents associated with the position.
• Ability to safely operate forklift. Slip sheet experience preferred.
