Job summary

U.S. Lumber Group in Duncan, SC is seeking a 1st Shift Material Handler (Forklift Operator). The role requires operating forklifts, loading/unloading, and moving material with accuracy. Reading tickets, codes, and a tape measure is essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year warehouse distribution experience.
• Prior lumber experience desired.
• Engineered Lumber experience preferred.
• Forklift experience and forklift certification preferred but not required.
• Must have basic math and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts or other machinery to load, unload, move, and transport material.
• Maintain warehouse area, ensuring items are in correct location and floors are swept.
• Work cooperatively with Supervisors and other employees to complete workload.
• Provide accurate, timely service with attention to detail and quality.
• Assist with inventory variances and track/trace issues.
• Read tickets and product codes; learn to use chainsaw and Holtec saw.
• Read a tape measure and accurately pull daily orders.
