Job summary

O'Neal Steel LLC in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Material Handler for the 1st shift (4:00AM-12:00PM) to load and unload materials within a warehouse. You will operate equipment such as forklifts and overhead cranes, and move materials to and from trucks or trains in a safe, efficient manner.

The role requires reading tape measures, using various hand tools, and delivering high-quality work to internal and external customers.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate a wide variety of material handling equipment including forklift, overhead crane, stacker crane, side loader, yard dog, etc.
• Ability to use a variety of hand tools including grinder, bander, drill, hammer, pliers, screwdriver, wrench, etc.
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
• Responsible for providing high quality work to all internal and external customers as related to the output of their position.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads material within a warehouse.
• Utilizes hand trucks, forklifts, overhead cranes, conveyors, or other handling equipment to move material to and from trucks or trains and within the storage facility.
