Job summary

QuikCut LLC is seeking a Material Handler to support fabrication operations. The role ensures efficient material flow, accurate inventory, and a clean, organized work environment to sustain lean manufacturing processes and productive shop operations.

The candidate will handle receiving, shipping, storing materials, and collaborate with production and logistics to meet schedules while adhering to safety guidelines and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in material handling or warehouse operations in manufacturing.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles (5S, Kanban, JIT).
• Proficient with inventory management software and basic computer skills.
• Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (certification preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials as required.

Responsibilities

• Receive, ship, inspect, and store raw materials, components, and finished products.
• Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular stock counts; report discrepancies.
• Support lean manufacturing initiatives and eliminate waste in material handling processes.
• Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks and other equipment; perform routine maintenance.
• Maintain accurate records of material movements and prepare reports.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed and escalate hazards.
• Collaborate with production, quality control and logistics to maintain material flow.
