Job summary

Wieland is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the 1st shift at our Staunton, VA facility. The role requires maintaining production equipment, building and support systems to meet production goals, and performing mechanical and electrical repairs on site.

The position offers an hourly pay range of $31.61-$45.91, with bi-weekly pay and a Monday-Thursday schedule. Safety and reliability are core values as you help sustain our operations.

Qualifications

• Safety oriented with a proactive mindset.
• 5 years manufacturing-related maintenance experience.
• Troubleshooting PLC, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electronic systems.
• Electrical knowledge up to 480 volts.
• Self-starter who prioritizes work to meet schedules and objectives.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Experience using a maintenance management system such as FIIX.

Responsibilities

• Work safely and promote a proactive safety culture.
• Identify and correct potential safety hazards to prevent injuries.
• Make equipment available to production by diagnosing failures and repairing.
• Analyze drawings and diagrams to install, repair or service devices and systems.
• Apply preventative maintenance to reduce unplanned downtime.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions.
• Support preventive maintenance programs and spare parts inventories.
• Keep building and equipment in working order and coordinate with outside contractors.
