Job summary

Wieland is seeking a Maintenance Technician for 1st shift at our Staunton, VA facility. You will maintain production equipment, buildings, and support systems to ensure uptime and meet production goals.

You will diagnose breakdowns, perform repairs, and support preventative maintenance programs in a fully on-site role. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience, PLC/electrical troubleshooting skills, and familiarity with CMMS (FIIX).

Qualifications

• Demonstrated safety orientation.
• 5 years manufacturing related maintenance experience.
• Experience troubleshooting PLC, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electronic machine systems
• Electrical knowledge up to 480 volts
• Self-starter with proactive mindset and ability to prioritize work.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience using a maintenance management system such as FIIX

Responsibilities

• Work safely and promote a proactive safety culture.
• Identify and correct potential safety hazards to prevent injuries.
• Make equipment available to production by diagnosing and repairing breakdowns.
• Analyze drawings and manuals to service mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electronic devices.
• Apply preventative maintenance to reduce unplanned downtime.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and support PM programs.
• Coordinate with outside contractors when needed.
• Develop and support maintenance scheduling and Preventative Maintenance efforts.
• Participate in 5S activities.
