Job summary

KI's Manufacturing plant in Bonduel is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the first shift to maintain and troubleshoot production equipment. The role requires basic electrical knowledge (110/220V, possibly 480V), mechanical aptitude, and familiarity with general shop work.

Qualifications

• Ability to use a variety of hand, power and measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on plant equipment.
• Diagnose problems and resolve promptly.
• Assemble, install, maintain, and repair production equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints to support installations and repairs.
• Work with maintenance, engineering and tool & die teams to implement new equipment safely.
• Be flexible with tasks and schedule; on-call and weekend rotation may be required.
• Welding and related fabrication tasks as needed.

Job description

KI's Manufacturing plant in Bonduel has an opening in our Maintenance Department for a Maintenance Technician on our first shift.

The Maintenance Technician Position maintains and troubleshoots current production equipment. This position requires basic electrical knowledge using 110/220 (possible 480) voltage. We are looking for someone who is mechanically inclined and familiar with general shop work. Welding experience, the ability to work alone & be self-directed, and willing to learn & accept daily challenges are a must.

Responsibilities And Requirements

• Ability to use a variety of hand, power and measuring tools
• Perform routine preventive maintenance
• Diagnose problems and resolve promptly
• Assemble, install, maintain, and repair a variety of plant manufacturing equipment
• Ability to read and understand blueprints
• Good communication and evaluation skills
• Must be flexible with tasks and schedule - on call/weekend rotation required
• Forklift and highlift/scissor lift certification will be required (training available.)
• Work with the Maintenance team, Engineers, Managers and the Tool & Die team to implement new equipment in an efficient and safe manner

This is a first shift position. The hours are primarily 5a-2p Monday - Friday with overtime and weekends required during peak production (summer months).

Candidate must be able to lift 50 lbs. and know how to read shop orders. Must have ability to work on feet for long periods of time. Candidate must pay attention to quality and detail work at a continuous pace and be able to work with minimal supervision. Successful completion of a drug screen is required for all employees. Advanced technical education is preferred.
