Job summary

AZZ Inc. seeks a Maintenance Technician for our Blacksburg, SC facility on 1st shift. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, and operate welding equipment to maintain metalworking systems.

Typical duties include repairing components, keeping the work area clean, and ensuring tools and equipment are in good working order. High school diploma required, lifting up to 50 lbs, and willingness to learn new skills.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of related maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience with electrical systems, cranes, hoists, and forklifts is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks during maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Repairs, replaces, and reassembles defective equipment parts using hand and power tools.
• Performs routine preventive maintenance on equipment and buildings.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electrical problems and determines how to correct them.
• Operates cutting torches or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
• Maintain a clean and organized shop area.
