Job summary

AZZ Inc. in Blacksburg, South Carolina, is seeking a Maintenance Technician for 1st shift to perform maintenance services including PM’s, basic plumbing and electricity, welding, and machine servicing under the Maintenance Lead.

Responsibilities include repairing, replacing and reassembling defective parts with hand and power tools; performing preventive maintenance on equipment and buildings; diagnosing mechanical and electrical problems; operating cutting torches or welding equipment; and

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1-year related experience required.
• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Knowledge of hot dip galvanizing, steel fabrication or other custom metal coating operations is a plus.
• Experience with electrical systems, cranes, hoists, and forklifts preferred.
• Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to learn new skills is a must!
