Job summary

CORE Linen is seeking a Maintenance Apprentice for the 1st Shift in Oak Creek, WI. The role runs 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with rotating weekends possible; pay rate is $18.00–$20.00 per hour depending on experience.

The apprentice will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance to ensure efficient operation of a laundry plant, handle preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and seek engineering assistance as needed. Emphasis on safety and timely repairs.

Qualifications

• Must be team oriented and able to function individually or with team.
• Must understand safety procedures including lockout/tag out, confined space entry, and working on hot equipment.
• Must have a good working knowledge of machinery and the ability to help repair and maintain drive and conveyor systems.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative maintenance on equipment as scheduled.
• Ensures timely and quality completion of maintenance and repairs including overhead rail and conveyor systems.
• Assists technical and mechanical personnel including outside vendors as needed.
• Maintains the maintenance log by recording incomplete tasks and new problems.
• Notifies Production Supervisors about equipment status impacting production or downtime.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
