Job summary

Mission Linen Supply is seeking a Maintenance Helper to support the Maintenance Technician team. The role involves painting, maintaining surfaces, and helping with plant equipment like washers, dryers, steam tunnels, and boilers. Starting pay is $18.00 - $21.00 per hour, with full benefits including health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to lift 25-50 lbs. Experience in maintenance is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn industrial laundry equipment.
• Knowledge of steam boilers, electrical, pneumatics, schematics, welding, and plumbing.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced plant, stand for long periods, and lift 25-50 lbs.
• Reliable attendance and a team-first attitude.
• Maintenance, mechanical, or industrial experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with repair, maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting of plant equipment (washers, dryers, steam tunnels, conveyors, boilers, and related systems)
• Help complete preventive maintenance and keep the shop and work areas clean and organized
• Support basic mechanical, electrical, plumbing, pneumatic, and welding tasks as assigned
• Assist with boiler chemical testing and adjustments under direction of maintenance staff
• Follow lockout/tagout and all plant safety procedures
• Maintain and monitor wastewater chemistry and treatment parameters
• Help identify issues, report needed repairs, and keep simple maintenance records
