Job summary

Techmer PM, LLC in Wichita, Kansas is seeking a Machine Operator for the 1st shift (6:00AM-2:30PM, Monday–Friday). The role pays $18.00 per hour and up based on experience, with comprehensive benefits starting day one.

Operate extrusion and mixing equipment to produce plastic compounds for unique customer applications. You will learn plant equipment, follow SOPs, and participate in process measurements and improvements to ensure in-spec, high-quality product for customers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Two years of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Extrusion experience is highly desired.
• Ability to lift 55 lbs frequently.
• Ability to learn plant equipment functionality.

Responsibilities

• Operate key manufacturing equipment to produce plastic compounds for customer applications.
• Follow SOPs to protect self, coworkers, and the facility.
• Engage in process measurement, control, and improvement to ensure quality.

We are currently seeking a Machine Operator for our Wichita, Kansas facility. This position will be on 1st shift which is 6:00AM-2:30PM, Monday through Friday. Pay rate is $18.00 per hour and up depending on experience.

Job Purpose:

Operate all key manufacturing equipment to produce plastic compounds for unique and specialty customer applications. Works safely to protect themselves, their coworkers, and the facility by following all standard operating procedures. Engaged in process measurement, control, and improvement in all aspects of their assigned tasks. Learns and understands key operating parameters which ensure that only in specification and high-quality product is delivered to our customers.

• Ability to learn the functionality of plant equipment.

Skills/Knowledge/Ability:

• Basic knowledge of running an extruder or mixing equipment.
• Ability to learn pre and postproduction equipment and operations (drying, bagging, grinding etc.)
• General mechanical knowledge and ability to troubleshoot problems
