Our Machine Operators

perform duties to operate CNC machine, secondary equipment, wash, inspect, and pack parts in accordance with quality specifications. This position trains other team members in cell expectations. Additional responsibilities depend on the level of the operator.

What You'll Do:

1. Support safety and 5S initiatives, including surveys, audits, and monitoring the safety of all department employees; follow safety rules and keep work area clean and orderly
2. Load, unload, and blow off parts; visually inspect parts for completed operations
3. Use gauges as directed for defects
4. Remove flash and parting line from castings as directed per cell documentation
5. Wash, leak test, assemble, and gauge parts as directed
6. Place accepted parts in containers as specified
7. Document machine process using SPC
8. Prepare required production and quality control reports
9. Perform machine-specific TPM requirements
10. Notify Lead Tech or Supervisor of machine problems, part, or material issues

Requirements

What We Need from You:

1. 6 months to 1 year of experience operating a CNC or secondary machine
2. Certified in operation of the cells
3. Ability to drive a forklift
4. Familiarity with quality control gauges and basic measuring equipment
5. Understanding of machine set up sheets and process control plans
6. Ability to deburr machined parts and wash parts using appropriate equipment
7. Identify defects and inspect parts using process control plans
8. Operate all secondary equipment from power off to cycle start
9. Work onsite to attend in-person meetings and collaborate as necessary
10. Ability to stand, bend, and stoop for long periods
11. Ability to lift, push, and pull objects up to 55 pounds
12. Basic reading, writing, math, and visual inspection skills
