Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a Utility Laborer for the 1st shift in Wilkesboro, NC. You will hang live birds on the overhead shackle line and help maintain continuous production flow while ensuring food safety and sanitation standards.

Expected to work in a cold, dusty environment, standing for up to 8 hours and using PPE properly. Overtime, weekends, and holidays may be required per production needs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma preferred.
• Previous manufacturing or fresh food production experience preferred.
• Ability to learn and perform multiple production tasks.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and work in a cold, dusty environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain continuous product flow on production lines to support efficiency and throughput.
• Relieve team members for breaks and absences; fill in during labor shortages.
• Perform multiple tasks including packing, sorting, staging and material handling.
• Monitor product movement and ensure quality, food safety and sanitation standards.
• Follow SOPs for fresh product handling; report hazards and equipment issues immediately.
