United Alloy is seeking an experienced CNC laser operator to align, load, and program CO2 or fiber laser cutters. You will interpret CAD inputs, adjust parameters, and ensure cut parts meet exact specifications, while maintaining safety and equipment reliability.

Responsibilities include daily machine checks, routine maintenance, and logging outputs; candidates should have 2+ years of CNC laser experience and the ability to read blueprints within a metal fabrication context.

Formación

• Over two years’ experience operating CO2 or Fiber CNC laser-cutting machines; Cincinnati or Mitsubishi preferred.
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints.
• Thorough understanding of CNC processes and metal fabrication concepts.

Responsabilidades

• Align and secure materials on the laser cutting table.
• Load and interpret CAD files or other design inputs into the machine’s control interface.
• Adjust machine settings like power, speed, and focus based on material type and thickness.
• Operate the laser to cut or engrave per design with accuracy and precision.
• Regularly inspect cut parts to ensure dimensions meet specs.
• Document maintenance as needed and log machine downtime.
• Troubleshoot minor machine issues and adjust parameters for quality control.
• Conduct daily checks for optimal laser performance and safety barriers.
• Monitor fume extraction and ventilation systems for proper operation.
• Ensure logs of completed jobs and materials usage are kept.
