Job summary

Sinomax USA, Inc. in La Vergne, TN is seeking a dedicated Janitor for 1st shift to maintain cleanliness of the plant, offices, bathrooms and manufacturing areas.

Responsibilities include cleaning designated areas with approved disinfectants, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, taking out trash, stocking supplies, and adhering to GMPs and safety rules. Schedule: Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:30pm; background checks and pre-employment drug tests may apply; accommodations available.

Qualifications

• Self-driven and able to work without direct supervision.

• Knowledge of custodial equipment and cleaning products.

Responsibilities

SINOMAX is seeking a Janitor for our 1st shift!

Position Summary

Maintaining the cleanliness of the plant, including the offices, bathrooms, and manufacturing areas.

Position Description

• Clean designated areas of plant as required, i.e. (restrooms, cafeterias, main isles, offices, smoking areas, etc.) with approved disinfectants and cleaning supplies.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum on daily basis
• Empty and remove trash and restock supplies.
• Use a variety of mops, brooms, cleaning supplies, solutions, carts, ladders, power vacuum, and cleaning equipment.
• Responsible to observe department’s safety regulations and to use personnel protective equipment as required.
• Responsible to adhere to plant policies/procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices [GMP’S], ISO 9002 regulations and good housekeeping procedures.
• Complete tasks on time and thoroughly and respond to emergency janitorial needs.
• Other reasonable duties as assigned.

Approval

The Executive Team (CEO, Controller, Chief Marketing and Merchandising Officer, VP of Operations, Human Resources) will be involved in all hires. Team determines need, Human Resources will facilitate the process and select candidates, Controller will verify budget for the position. The position’s direct manager will also be part of the interviewing and decision making process as well as a possible peer.

Work Environment

Must stand and walk for a minimum of 8 hours per day or longer in overtime situations. Work is performed in a sometimes hot, cold, humid, noisy, industrial environment, and around dust, oil, grease chemicals, and other substances.
