Job summary

Anchor Fabrication Fort Worth is hiring an Inventory Cycle Counter in our Shipping department to maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials, WIP, finished goods, and consumables. The role supports production efficiency and on-time delivery in a fabrication environment.

You will perform regular cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, label items, track bin locations, and collaborate with Purchasing, Production, and Warehouse teams to resolve variances.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of shipping/receiving experience.
• Able to label bins, bags, and pallets with IDs.
• Basic computer skills sufficient.
• Experience with inventory management.
• Forklift experience and certification preferred.
• Ability to match electronic part numbers to those on orders.
• Good attendance, communication, and reliable work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cycles counts on raw materials, WIP, finished goods, and consumables.
• Verify quantities are staged on the shop floor and in storage locations.
• Ensure accurate labeling and bin locations for all materials.
• Assist with full physical inventory as needed.
• Communicate material status and shortages with Purchasing, Production, and Warehouse teams.
• Participate in 5S, lean initiatives, or warehouse optimization.
• Move and handle materials using pallet jacks, forklifts, or scales as required.

Anchor Fabrication has an immediate opening for a highly motivated Inventory Cycle Counter in our Shipping department.Position Summary:The Inventory Cycle Counter is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records within a fabrication environment by performing daily cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and supporting continuous improvement in material handling processes. This role ensures that raw materials, work-in-process (WIP), finished goods, and consumables are correctly tracked to support production efficiency and on-time delivery. This role is vital to ensuring our customers’ needs are consistently met, promoting our company’s continued strong national growth.Supervisory Responsibilities: NoneInternal Relationships: All DepartmentsExternal Relationships: Occasional and incidental contact with customers or prospective customersTraits Displayed:Ability to exude high energy, solution-based thinking, while focusing great attention to detail and maintaining a service-oriented disposition.Contribute to a work environment that promotes pride in being part of a winning team and encourages personal and professional growth and success.Assure productivity and high-quality standards are constant so that the company and employees collectively enjoy optimum financial returns, job security, personal career growth and excellent service to customers.Ability to provide exemplary and consistent customer satisfaction, with a strong capacity for building relationships.Primary Responsibilities:Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cycles count on raw materials (steel, aluminum, bar stock, sheet metal), fabricated components, hardware, and consumables.Verify quantities for WIP items are staged on the shop floor and in storage locations.Ensure accurate labeling, bin locations, and part numbers for all materials.Assist with full physical inventory when required.Communicate with manufacturing personnel, the purchasing department, and other Supervisors on material status (shortages, discrepancies, roadblocks)Research and resolve inventory variances by working with Purchasing, Production, and Warehouse teams.Participate in 5S, lean manufacturing, or warehouse optimization initiatives.Take part in 8D and other root cause and corrective analysis for inventory error.Move, weigh, and measure materials using pallet jacks, forklifts, cranes, or scales as required.Organize and maintain inventory storage areas to ensure proper FIFO/FEFO and accessibility.Perform other related duties as instructed.Minimum Requirements:• Have 1 + year of shipping/receiving experience at minimum.• Ability to correctly label bins, bags, and pallets with identification information• Minimal computer skills needed.• Experience with inventory management and material handling• Desired 1 + years of forklift experience.• Satisfactorily pass in-company forklift certification program• Ability to correctly match electronic component part numbers to numbers listed on work orders printed on paper or on a computer screen• Good attendance, communication skills, work ethic, and flexibilityEnvironment/Physical Requirements with or without Accommodation:This position is carried out in a fabrication shop environment and as such has the following physical work requirements:• Must be able to lift up to 100lbs• Position requires ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.• Position may require bending, kneeling, and stooping.• May work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.• Exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, and chemicals.All qualified applicants will receive considerations for employment without regard to race, color, sex (including pregnancy), religion, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other status protected by applicable law.
