Job summary

Home Chef is seeking an Inventory Clerk in Atlanta, GA to support warehouse organization, counts, and reporting under the Inventory Manager. This 1st shift role runs 5:00 AM to 2:00 PM with Saturdays and Sundays off, focusing on FEFO/FIFO, tracking product movement, and waste reporting.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, strong counting and organizational skills, solid communication, basic Word/Excel, and forklift or pallet jack capability with willingness to train. 0% travel.

Qualifications

• General high school degree, or equivalent
• Ability to count large quantities of product in the form of individual items, cases, and pallets
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Average computer skills, especially in word and excel
• Ability to problem solve and balance priorities in a fast paced environment
• Forklift certified or ability to use pallet jack; willing to train
• Capable of operating and counting from elevated platform, e.g. stock picker, forklift aerial safety cage
• Must be available to respond to work related inquiries nights and weekends

Responsibilities

• Organizes warehouse by ensuring locations are designated for product so it can go back to proper location after use
• Ensures FEFO / FIFO practices are followed and review warehouse for expired product
• Manages pallet placements and storage areas
• Tracks product movement from receiving dock to cooler until final disposition
• Discards expired or unusable product and provides inventory for Procurement
• Monitors waste and reports salvage or credit opportunities
• Fills out waste tracking forms during inventory counts
• Creates space to improve stocking efficiency for upcoming menu items
• Assists with all inventory counts
• Reports discrepancies to Inventory Manager and communicates shorts to teams
• Converts product to standard case sizes as needed
• Supports GMP compliance and safety initiatives
• No travel required
