Job summary

O'Neal Steel LLC is seeking a 1st shift Maintenance Technician for our Grand Prairie, TX facility. The role focuses on preventive maintenance and repairs of production equipment, including mechanical and electrical systems.

You will evaluate equipment for efficiency gains and prepare technical reports documenting maintenance issues. The position requires troubleshooting skills, experience with CNC and material handling systems, and the ability to perform tasks on presses, lifting devices, and

Qualifications

General knowledge of basic trouble-shooting skills with ability to assist with repairs and diagnostics of advanced processing equipment, CNC, material handling system, press brakes, lifting devices, and sawing equipment, etc.
Maintenance experience with mechanical systems and/or electrical systems, typically demonstrated by work experience in manufacturing or industrial environments, or completion of an electrical or mechanical repair training program, or acceptable combination of training and experience
Ability to perform maintenance and repair tasks on material handling and processing equipment including calculations, layout, balance and alignment
Programming of Variable Frequency Drives and troubleshooting Programmable Logic Controllers

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on production equipment and systems (mechanical, electrical).
Evaluate and recommend equipment improvements to improve efficiency, capability and yield.
Prepare technical reports documenting preventative maintenance issues.
Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems and assist with repairs as needed
