Job summary

Motor Technology, Inc. is seeking a 1st Shift Industrial Electronics Service Technician I to diagnose, repair, and maintain a range of electronic systems in industrial settings.

You will use advanced testing equipment and ensure equipment runs reliably, safely, and efficiently. The role requires hands-on experience with electromechanical rotating equipment, DC/AC drives, and schematics, with a commitment to safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• 3+ years of experience with industrial electromechanical rotating equipment, including AC variable frequency drives and DC drives.
• Able to read schematics.
• Basic understanding of pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Comfortable working with customers.
• Good computer skills.
• Provide tools and toolbox.
• Able to lift up to 50lbs.
• PLC experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, diagnose, repair, and maintain various types of electronic systems and components to ensure equipment operates correctly, efficiently, and safely.
• Perform infrared thermography, motor testing, DC to AC retrofits, electrical troubleshooting, and power quality testing.
• Design, build, and install motor control and drive systems, including VFDs, soft starts, and starter replacements.
• Prioritize workplace safety by following procedures and using protective equipment.
