Job summary

Hood Container Corporation in Atlanta, GA is seeking an Industrial Electrician to maintain and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems in a production environment. The position is a 1st shift (6:00 am - 6:00 pm) on a 12-hour rotating schedule with overtime as needed, reporting to the Maintenance Manager.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 4+ years of industrial electrical and mechanical experience in a production/manufacturing setting.
• Safety driven with knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, electrical drawings, and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic malfunctions.
• Repair or replace defective components, including but not limited to VFDs, motors, pumps, conveyors, and control systems.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues promptly.
• Maintain detailed maintenance logs and documentation in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety standards and promote a safe working environment.
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment as needed.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
