Job summary

Hood Container Corporation in Dalton, GA is seeking a Machine Helper/Utility to support the Converting Department. You will assist operators, prepare machinery for production, and help keep equipment running efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.

We value mechanical aptitude, physical stamina, and flexibility to work 1st or 3rd shifts, with occasional longer shifts. Prior manufacturing experience is a plus; training is provided to support safe, continuous production.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude to understand technical instructions and use basic tools.
• Physical stamina for prolonged standing and manual tasks.
• Willingness to work 1st or 3rd shifts, including occasional long shifts (10 hours).
• Prior manufacturing or production support experience in durable goods is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Production Support: Assist operators in setting up and adjusting machinery for production runs.
• Machine Monitoring: Observe equipment to identify malfunctions or quality deviations early.
• Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and minor maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Material Handling: Load raw materials and safely remove finished products to maintain workflow.
