Mid Continent Engineering is seeking a CNC Machinist to join our team in Minneapolis, MN. The role focuses on setup and operation of horizontal CNC mill machines on 1st shift.

Candidates should have 10+ years CNC machining experience or equivalent, read blueprints, and Epicor ERP experience is a plus. The position offers medical, 401k, tuition reimbursement, and PTO, with a shoe allowance and referral program.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; two-year tech schooling preferred.
• 10+ years CNC machining experience or equivalent.
• Ability to read blueprints, instructions, and processing specs.
• Epicor ERP experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze drawings and design data to determine cuts, tools, speeds, and feeds.
• Operate and set up horizontal CNC mill machines.
• Perform progressive machining on precision parts with close tolerances.
• Check the first part and oversee production runs.
• Revise programs to correct errors or omissions.
• Observe machine operation on trial runs and verify instructions.
• Communicate abnormalities in product or equipment.
• Maintain machine coolant and chip levels.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
