Job summary

Automation Personnel Services is hiring for a 1st Shift General Labor/Machine Operator position in Moody, Alabama. The role involves learning and operating automated packaging lines, performing production tasks, and ensuring food safety and quality standards are met.

The successful candidate will work Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:45 pm, with overtime as needed and be compensated at $17.00 per hour. The position offers weekly pay and a comprehensive benefits package, plus opportunities for

Qualifications

• Must be able to regularly lift 55-75 pounds.
• Must be able to stand and walk on concrete for about 8 hours per shift.
• Must be able to work at least 40 hours per week with overtime when required.
• Must be able to wear all required PPE and comply with hygiene and food-manufacturing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Learn and operate automated and semi-automated manufacturing equipment (baggers, bottlers, blenders, labelers, boxers, tapers, conveyors).
• Perform production tasks such as filling bottles, bags, boxes, and bulk containers efficiently while maintaining food safety and product quality requirements.
• Follow metal detector / CCP procedures when assigned to equipment or processes with those controls.
• Handle raw ingredients and finished blends using correct item numbers, codes, lots, and FIFO practices.
• Paletize finished products, prepare products for shipment, and assist with loading/unloading materials as needed.
• Report any food safety, product quality, contamination, equipment, or workplace safety concerns to management or FSQA.
