Job summary

Gordon Food Service is hiring for a 1st Shift Warehouse Selector in Springfield, OH. The role starts at $20.90 per hour with two pay raises in the first year and weekly pay. Shifts are Sunday through Thursday, with Fridays and Saturdays off, and start at 6:50 am.

You will work up to 10 hours, in extreme cold or hot conditions, with training provided. No prior warehouse experience is required. You’ll lift up to 100 pounds, read labels and use scanners.

Work Schedule: Sunday - Thursday work week, with Fridays and Saturdays off. Start time: 6:50 am - finish time (shifts vary based on work volume)

Responsibilities

• You’ll be on your feet for 10 hours of work, lifting up to 100 pounds, and asked to work in our freezer (no experience required - we train you).
• Selecting is hard work, so we’ll pay you a starting wage that scales with production and efficiency - the better you perform, the more you earn. On average, our selectors earn 13.36% above their base hourly rate, plus overtime.

Requirements & Eligibility

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed - holidays are very important to our customers.
• Work in extreme cold or hot conditions; must be able to work in frozen products and extreme conditions.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English (to read labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, company website information related to benefits, updates, complete paperwork, and follow verbal instructions).
• Successfully pass a drug test that will assess drug usage and a background check.
• Prior warehouse experience preferred, but not required.
