Job Title: Forklift Operator I - Shipping

Join UFP Industries as a 1st Shift Forklift Operator - Shipping. This role involves the movement of materials between inventory and production, maintaining accurate paperwork and records, and supporting production schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Move materials in process between stations as needed
• Band, wrap, pack finished goods, and label materials
• Transport finished goods to inventory yard or warehouse
• Assist production with bottlenecks and material needs
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment
• Complete pre-shift startup checklists and report issues
• Keep inventory yards organized and clean
• Maintain production records
• Follow forklift safety policies
• Participate in safety, continuous improvement, and other programs
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum 9th-grade education; high school diploma or GED preferred but not required
• No experience required; forklift driving experience preferred
• Basic math and inventory knowledge preferred
• Complete forklift licensing process
• Must be at least 18 years old
