Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker is hiring a Forklift Operator for a 1st shift from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM on the production floor. The role involves moving product, loading/unloading trucks and logging entries in the computer.

You should have a High School diploma or GED, forklift/warehouse experience, and good math and communication skills. We offer a competitive salary starting at $20.11 per hour, plus a sign-on bonus and an additional retention bonus.

Inside working environment, on production floor; floor becomes slippery with oil. Noise levels on production floor require hearing protection, temperature fluctuates dependent on season. Working around powered industrial vehicles. Working with and around oil and chemicals.

What You’ll Do

• Operate boxer, scales, packaging/wrap equipment
• Operate forklift / PIV as needed to move product
• Load and unload trucks for shipping and receiving
• Log entries into computer when applicable
• Completes daily reports as necessary
• Prepares packages for shipment
• Packaging returnable containers
• Operate cardboard bailer as necessary
• Maintain housekeeping standards
• Any other duties as assigned by supervisor

• Sitting while on fork truck occasionally
• Use of hands, arms and fingers regularly
• Lifting and carrying 5-25 pounds regularly, occasionally 25-65lbs, use team lift for any loads over 35lbs.
