Job summary

Stanley Engineered Fastening LLC in Montpelier, IN is hiring a Forklift Operator for the 3rd shift (10:00 PM–6:00 AM). Starting pay is $20.11/hour plus shift differential, with a $500 sign-on/retention bonus.

You will move product on the production floor, load/unload trucks, and log entries. Requirements include high school diploma or GED, forklift experience preferred, basic math and reading/writing skills, and the ability to work overtime.

Qualifications

• Prior Warehouse/Forklift experience preferred.
• Mathematical ability (add, subtract, multiply and divide).
• Ability to read and write, effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift / PIV and boxing equipment.
• Load and unload trucks for shipping and receiving.
• Log entries into computer when applicable.
• Complete daily reports as necessary.
• Prepare packages for shipment and packaging of returnable containers.
• Maintain housekeeping standards.

Inside working environment, on production floor; floor becomes slippery with oil. Noise levels on production floor require hearing protection, temperature fluctuates dependent on season. Working around powered industrial vehicles. Working with and around oil and chemicals.

What You’ll Do

As a Shipping Product Handler you'll be part of our team located in Montpelier, IN.

• Operate boxer, scales, packaging/wrap equipment
• Operate forklift / PIV as needed to move product
• Load and unload trucks for shipping and receiving
• Log entries into computer when applicable
• Completes daily reports as necessary
• Prepares packages for shipment
• Packaging returnable containers
• Operate cardboard bailer as necessary
• Maintain housekeeping standards
• Any other duties as assigned by supervisor

• Ability to understand written, verbal or diagrammatical form of instructions
• Good organizational skills to follow work orders
• Walking, standing, bending, pushing, pulling, twisting, reaching
• Sitting while on fork truck occasionally
• Use of hands, arms and fingers regularly
• Lifting and carrying 5-25 pounds regularly, occasionally 25-65lbs, use team lift for any loads over 35lbs
