Role: Forklift Operator

The Forklift Operator will move materials (raw or finished goods) in a warehouse or production environment using a forklift, pallet jack, or physical force as appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks, supply production areas with products.
• Remove finished goods to warehouse storage.
• Apply MTS tags and use handheld scanners for tracking components and chemicals.
• Document, count, and verify customer piece counts for shipping and receiving.
• Manage paperwork for proper identification of incoming and outgoing materials.
• Ensure inventory accuracy in the system and physical organization.
• Load/unload trailers and verify quantities against packing lists.
• Provide Lot and batch numbers for shipping.
• Perform cycle counts and dispose of products as per customer requests.
• Maintain a continuous work pace supporting production and warehouse goals.
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance.
• Maintain cGMP standards and housekeeping.
• Operate equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to safety rules and regulations.
• Establish effective working relationships within the department.
• Receive training in handling hazardous materials with annual refreshers.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Maintain accurate documentation of counts and maintenance.
• Adhere to cGMP standards at all times.
• Operate industrial trucks safely and appropriately.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• High School Diploma or GED with experience
• Forklift certification

Experience

• At least 1 year of forklift operation experience
• Basic math skills
• Ability to follow work directions and perform assigned tasks
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
• Team-oriented mindset
• Respectful and safety-conscious attitude
• Dependability with low absenteeism and tardiness

Communication

• Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred but not required

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly, and perform physical tasks such as bending and reaching
• Sit for extended periods
• Retrieve merchandise from high shelves
• Use hands and arms frequently
• Work in humid, noisy, and chemically exposed environments
• Good vision for position requirements
