Job summary

Grillo’s in Taylorsville, IN seeks a 1st shift Facility Technician to support safe, reliable plant operations and wastewater system PMs. You will perform routine maintenance on facility systems, monitor equipment, and respond to work orders to keep production running smoothly.

This role emphasizes preventive maintenance on wastewater and utilities, with a focus on inspection readiness, safety, and compliance in a food/beverage setting. Experience in regulated environments is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required. Technical training or maintenance-related experience preferred.
• Experience with preventive maintenance in wastewater/utility systems is a plus.
• Experience in regulated production environments (food/beverage) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on facility systems including plumbing, lighting, doors, walls, floors, and general building infrastructure.
• Support upkeep of utility systems such as air, water, drains, pumps, and related equipment.
• Monitor facility conditions for safety, compliance, or operations impact.
• Monitor and maintain mechanical room equipment including water softening, boilers, filters, and RO systems.
• Maintain HVAC systems and perform PMs.
• Respond to work orders in a timely manner.
• Complete wastewater equipment PMs, inspect pumps, tanks, valves, filters, piping, sensors, and meters.
• Troubleshoot wastewater system issues and support corrective actions.
• Maintain PM documentation and operator logs.
• Follow proper chemical handling and maintain housekeeping around wastewater equipment.
• Assist with contractor coordination and shutdown work as needed.
• Follow lockout/tagout, GMP, and all plant safety requirements.
