Job summary

Daifuku is a leading U.S.-based provider of intelligent material handling systems, offering fabrication of structural steel for industrial automation. The Fabricator operates fabricating and machine shop equipment to cut, shape, and bend metal components per blueprints and specs.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read blueprints.
• Must be able to read a tape measure precisely.
• LOTO certification required.
• Crane operation certification required.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Operate fabrication shop and machine shop machinery to cut, shape, and bend metal plates, sheets, tubes, and structures.
• Read job specifications and blueprints to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Set stops or guides to specified length as indicated by scale or template.
• Position workpiece and align with dies or blades.
• Measure workpiece dimensions to ensure accuracy.
• Detect defects and machine malfunctions.
• Remove burrs, sharp edges, rust, and scale from workpieces.
• Perform minor maintenance such as oiling machines, dies, or workpieces.
