Job summary

80/20 seeks an Extrusion Operator to perform saw, milling, CNC tasks and bar washing to meet specifications. This role requires quality-focused work, reliability, and ability to handle diverse orders across shift timelines.

Responsibilities include operating multiple machines, measuring with calipers and tape, and using order-tracking software to push orders through production while maintaining 80/20 quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Basic to advanced math skills including metric to fractional conversions.
• Willingness to participate in 80/20’s cross training program.
• Desire to take initiative with problem solving, multitasking and independent work.
• Ability to communicate problems, suggestions, and needs clearly.
• Possess a positive attitude aligned with 80/20 cultures.
• Ability to comprehend blueprints and make accurate cuts.
• Stand for 10 hours and lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Follow all start up procedures at start of shift.
• Operate cutting, milling, drilling, tapping, finishing and deburring machines.
• Quality control orders to ensure 80/20 standards.
• Use order tracking software to process orders from start to next station.
• Read tape measures and calipers to complete each order.
• Attend meetings and provide improvement suggestions.
• Provide daily feedback to staff as appropriate.
• Follow shutdown and cleanup procedures at end of shift.
• Wash bars during training and as needed for production.
• Interact with team to solve extrusion processing issues.
• All additional duties as needed.
