Job summary

The North Carolina Zoo in Asheboro, NC is seeking a 1st Shift Assistant Emergency Operations team member to support the Emergency Operations branch with 24/7/365 communications, safety, and public safety programs. Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• EMT certification preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a high-profile public safety environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide guests with exceptional customer service and assist with wayfinding and guest escorts.
• Assist with parking and directing traffic, drive golf carts/vehicles as needed.
• Respond to radio calls and provide support in emergency situations and safety protocols.
• Perform minor first aid and report to Zoo Communications as required.
• Maintain safety for guests and staff, including after-hours access and crowd management.
