Job summary

Vertiv is seeking an experienced tester to perform electrical, mechanical, and system-level testing at our facility. You will operate meters, power supplies, load banks, and diagnostic tools to validate performance and ensure quality before release.

You will read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams, document findings, and adhere to safety procedures such as LOTO and PPE requirements. The role emphasizes teamwork with production, quality, and engineering to meet project timelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous electrical testing, industrial manufacturing, or commissioning experience preferred.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Functional Testing: Perform electrical, mechanical, and system-level testing according to procedures.
• Test Equipment Operation: Safely operate meters, power supplies, load banks, and diagnostic tools.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and document issues; collaborate with engineering and production teams.
• Quality Verification: Verify installation, wiring, torque values, labeling, build compliance.
• Documentation: Complete test reports, checklists, and electronic documentation.
• Safety: Follow lockout/tagout, arc flash protection, PPE and company policies.
• Calibration: Ensure testing equipment is within calibration requirements.
• Process Adherence: Follow standardized procedures for consistency and reliability.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve test processes.
• Team Collaboration: Work with production, quality, and engineering to resolve issues.
