Job summary

Wayne Farms in Alabama is seeking a hands-on worker to pull boxes from the conveyor and load them onto the CVP Machine. The operator will crayovac bags and ensure proper seals while complying with PPE and safety guidelines.

The role requires lifting up to 70 lbs and standing for an 8‑hour shift in a wet, cold environment. Workers must follow SOPs, work with supervisors and other departments as needed, and be able to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shifts as required by production

Qualifications

• Must be able to follow SOPs and safety requirements.
• Must wear the required PPE and adhere to PPE changes as needed.
• Ability to work in a wet and cold environment and stand for an 8 hour shift.

• Must be able to follow directions and work in other departments as needed.
• Must be able to perform additional duties as assigned.

Primary Function

Primarily responsible for pulling boxes off of the conveyor/belt and placing them on the CVP Machine. Operates CVP Machine to crayovac the bags. Must always use and maintain personal protective equipment, and work in compliance with all company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines, and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations.

PAY:

$ 19.40

WORK SCHEDULE:

7:33 AM - 4:25 PM

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

• Pulls boxes off of the conveyor/belt and places them on the CVP Machine.
• Operates CVP Machine to crayovac the bags.
• Must be able to operate the CVP Machine.
• Must be able to push up to 70 lbs.
• Must be able to recognize proper CO2 levels.
• Must be able to determine if the bag has the correct seal.

Preferred Education And Experience

• Poultry experience preferred but not required

Safety Requirements

• Follow Standard Operating Procedures and adhere to safety requirements
• Must wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
• PPE required but subject to change: Hairnet, beard net, shoe covers, gloves, smock, earplugs

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in a wet and cold environment (45ºF, 4ºC)
• Ability to stand for an 8 hour shift
• Will be exposed to noise (>85 decibels), CO2, and moving production
