JBS Foods in Ottumwa, IA, is seeking a Superintendent for the Cut 1st department to oversee the entire cut floor production and lead a team of supervisors to meet throughput, quality, and schedule targets.

You will train supervisors, enforce safety and labor contract provisions, coordinate production plans with maintenance and sanitation, and drive continuous improvement across the shift.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of products and processes in a meat plant.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Bi-lingual helpful but not required.

Responsabilités

• Oversee entire cut floor production.
• Direct supervisors on production volume, quality, cost and meeting production schedules and delivery dates.
• Train and develop supervisors to provide management depth and teamwork.
• Review daily production schedule to plan work and personnel assignments.
• Monitor and confirm that machinery, equipment and facilities are maintained and sanitized.
• Maintain good employee relations and adherence to labor contract provisions.
• Other duties as assigned.

SALARY CLASS: Exempt

QUALIFICATIONS

• Extensive knowledge of products.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Bi-lingual helpful but not required.
• Extensive knowledge and technical skill in a variety of production jobs.
• Minimum 5 years supervisory experience in processing plant industry.
• Good attendance and safety records

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ability to oversee entire cut floor production.
• Direct supervisors with respect to production volume, quality, cost and meeting production schedules and delivery dates.
• Train and develop supervisors to provide management depth and develop team work to attain department objectives.
• Review daily production schedule to plan work and personnel assignments.
• Monitor and confirm that machinery, equipment and facilities are properly maintained and sanitized.
• Maintain good employee relations and adherence to labor contract provisions.
• Other duties as assigned.
