Job summary

Carpenter Co. in Tupelo/Verona, MS is seeking a 1st Shift Crane Operator Pouring to operate overhead cranes and coordinate foam slab movements for daily production. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, crane certification, and the ability to lift up to 75 pounds.

Qualifications

• Must possess a High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and interpret a tape measure.
• Must be crane certified.
• 3-6 months experience with chemicals.
• Must pass Pulmonary Function Test and Respirator Fit Test.
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, weekends, holidays, and call-in with little notice.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Read daily crane schedule to determine space required to stage finished buns for the day's pour.
• Create clean space in the warehouse to properly stage slabs of foam.
• Load/ unload foam using an overhead crane with care.
• Back-stacks foam according to Carpenter Company rules and stacks slabs in compliance with policy.
• Maintain communication with cut off saw operator to ensure steady feeding of the line.
• Inspect cranes daily and maintain the inspection log.
• Maintain value of order where needed.
