Job summary

Leggett & Platt is seeking a Crane Operator to move and organize buns during foam production and to store using an overhead crane. The role runs Sunday through Thursday, 11pm–7am, and requires safe operation of the crane and attention to quality and inventory accuracy.

The position emphasizes teamwork, adherence to procedures, and effective communication with supervisors and colleagues to ensure production flow and safety.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• Good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Attend to safety procedures and maintain quality during shifts.

Responsibilities

• At shift start, pull bun shipping orders from Drop List.
• Review bun inventory and locations to sequence bun pulling.
• Operate crane to move buns to shipping line and inspect placement.
• Log any bun reclassifications and ensure accurate inventory transfers.
• Maintain good housekeeping and assist with daily/monthly inventory.
