You will perform both documentation-based tasks and hands-on machine operations, producing precision components with lathes, boring and milling machines, grinders, and shapers.

Qualifications

• Previous CNC machine operation experience.
• Ability to learn specific computer software and systems.
• Knowledge of trade mathematics.
• Multi-task and maximize productivity.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, program readouts, and directives to select materials and tools.
• Complete machine set ups.
• Follow instructions on dimensions, speeds, feeds, tools, and alignment.
• Align parts in the machine and maintain materials and fixtures.
• Identify tooling or machine issues and adjust or seek assistance.
• Use micrometers, height/depth gauges, indicators, and gauges to verify tolerances.
• Check dimensions and maintain tolerances using fixtures or stops.
