Calyx Living is seeking energetic 1st Shift Care Staff for our assisted living community in North Durham, near Duke University and downtown Durham. You will assist residents with daily activities, monitor medication administration, and help maintain a safe, clean environment.

Must have a safety-first attitude, compassion for seniors, and good communication with residents and families. Weekend availability is required to support our care teams.

Responsabilidades

• Assist residents with personal care needs and daily activities.
• Monitor self-administration of medication under supervision.
• Record vital signs and report changes to supervisors.
• Maintain resident hygiene and safety at all times.
• Complete incident reports when needed.
• Assist with meals and feeding as required.
• Observe residents for changes in condition and respond appropriately.

Calyx Living is actively seeking energetic 1st Shift Care Staff for our assisted living community located in beautiful North Durham off the Eno River and just minutes from Duke University, the Durham Bulls Athletic Park and the American Tobacco Campus in downtown Durham's vibrant entertainment district.

Care Staff assist and provide direction to residents with personal care needs, including but not limited to monitoring self-administration of medication, insuring resident hygiene, obtaining and recording residents vital signs, maintaining safety of residents, completing incident reports, assisting with meal services and observing residents for any changes in conditions.

Must have a "safety first" attitude towards all of our residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Caregiver experience strongly preferred
• Must have compassion and a desire to work with seniors
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and families
• Strong sense of maturity
• Ability to adapt to each resident and setting
• Trustworthy and attentive
• 18 years or older
• Must be available to work weekends
