Job summary

Times Microwave Systems in Mesa, AZ is seeking an Assembly Operator to assemble flexible and semi-rigid RF cables to engineering specifications. You will solder and weld connectors to cables according to customer requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
• 1-2 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with cable or cable assemblies preferred.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Ability to read micrometers and calipers.
• Welding or soldering experience preferred.
• Basic math including fractions and decimals.
• Ability to use small hand tools and microscopes.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering documents.
• Follow work instructions to assemble cables to specs.
• Collaborate with engineers to solve production issues.
• Prepare cables for assembly.
• Solder or weld connectors to cables.

Summary

The Assembly Operator assemblesflexible and semi-rigid RF cables to engineering specifications. The Operators solder and weld connectors to cables according to customer requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Reads and interprets engineering documents
• Follows work instructions to produce flexible and semi-rigid cables per customer requirements
• Works with Engineers to problem solve production issues
• Preps cables to prepare for assembly
• Solders or welds connectors to cables
• Measures and bends specialty cables to specific dimensions
• Completes required documentation

Qualifications/Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience
• 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience manufacturing cable or cable assemblies, preferred
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions
• Ability to read micrometers and calipers
• Ability to read, speak and understand English
• Welding or soldering experience, preferred
• Ability to perform basic math functions (add, subtract, multiply and divide), including working with fractions and decimals.
• Ability to work with effectively with small hand tools and microscopes
