Metalcraft of Mayville is seeking 1st Shift Assemblers to join a hands-on manufacturing team. You will assemble components and subassemblies, read blueprints, and ensure parts fit correctly on a tight production line.

The position offers a 6am–2pm schedule, an equal opportunity workplace, paid holidays and vacation, on-the-job training, and a $1000 signing bonus. Prior experience in lean environments and strong math/communication skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a highly technical environment.
• Strong basic math skills.
• Experience with light electrical or heavy equipment assembly.
• Exposure to Lean manufacturing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsabilités

• Prepare work by studying assembly instructions, blueprints, and parts lists.
• Position parts and subassemblies using templates or measurements.
• Assemble components and verify correct fit.
• Measure completed components to verify specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues with supervision as needed.
• Maintain equipment and follow preventive maintenance.
• Keep a safe, clean work environment and comply with safety rules.
• Manage supplies inventory and place orders as needed.
• Document actions with production and quality forms.
• Support team and other departments to meet goals.

Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, Assemblers are responsible for producing components by assembling parts and subassemblies for products.

1st Shift Hours = 6am - 2pm (Monday - Friday)

Responsibilities

• Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
• Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
• Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies
• Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.
• Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
• Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
• Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
• Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working within a highly technical environment.
• Strong basic math skills.
• Previous experience with light electrical assembly and/or heavy equipment assembly.
• Exposure to a Lean manufacturing environment.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to efficiently work in a team and coordinate work with other departments.
• Aptitude to take orders and execute the same efficiently.
• High school degree, diploma or a GED equivalent qualification from is accredited institution.
• Demonstrated detail orientation, self motivation skills and ability to multi-task.
• Good finger and hand dexterity.
