Job description

We are part of a leading global green energy company that produces components for the renewable energy market. Our 150,000 square foot temperature-controlled facility in Roanoke, Indiana is the first in the United States and offers competitive pay, benefits, and a working environment that is employee-focused.

Hours: 6am-2:30pm but working OT Pay: $18.00hr

The Production Inspector will support the Company and coworkers by performing work duties safely, accurately, and efficiently. Always be aware of their responsibilities and ensure effective, timely, professional communication and collaboration with coworkers, with a positive attitude for teamwork. Complete work duties, assignments, and priorities by using policies, data, and resources to identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carrying out tasks; communicating progress and information; determining and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities; and adapting to and learning from change, difficulties, and feedback.

Required Skills/Knowledge

• Ensures quality and consistency in production processes by assessing processes and working with the production team towards resolutions
• Assists engineers with tasks related to development, construction, and evaluation of prototypes, new products, operations, and/or procedures
• Learns and utilizes production software (ERP) and MS Office
• Gathers and arranges necessary research, documentation, and tools for recommended solutions
• Reads and understands English

Preferred

• Prior inspection experience in a clean room environment
• Prior inspection experience and knowledge in the automotive industry
• Use of optical and other gauges, inspection techniques, and measuring devices
• Intermediate blueprint and troubleshooting knowledge
• Thorough understanding of products and equipment used in manufacturing
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Drafts and maintains production logs, inventories, documentation, and reports, including those outlining procedures, batch records, inventory, productivity, changeover, and progress
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage with all job-level employees

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 45 lbs. routinely during shift
