Job summary

Snelling Staffing Greenville seeks a Material Handler to move recyclable material through the facility, perform material grading, and evaluate destinations for sale. You will operate pallet jacks and other equipment, load materials, document work, and conduct material audits in a temperature-controlled pharmaceutical environment.

Shifts are 7:00am–7:00pm or 7:00pm–7:00am with in-person interviews; pay is $18 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Moves material through the facility with pallet jack or handcarts.
• Loads materials into vehicles and secures with strapping to prevent shifting.
• Loads compactors and trailers.
• Operates baler.
• Decontaminate containers prior to production.
• Uses PC tablets to dispense and receive information such as part numbers, quantities, locations.
• Conveys materials from storage to designated areas.
• Attaches tags or labels and records information on cases.
• Documents work performed.
• Conducts material audits.

Job Summary

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Moves material through the facility with the use of material handling equipment (i.e., pallet jack, handcarts) as required.
• Loads materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
• Load compactors and trailers.
• Operate baler.
• Decontaminate containers prior to being placed in production.
• Uses PC tablets to dispense and receive information such as part numbers, quantities, locations, comments, etc.
• Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated areas.
• Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers.
• Properly documents work performed.
• Conducts material audits.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.

Education

High school diploma or G.E.D.

Experience

Zero to four years previous experience.

Work Environment/Key Interactions

• Required to use motor coordination with arm, hand, finger, and leg dexterity.
• Required to exert physical effort in handling objects less than 50 pounds frequently.
• Requires pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Normal setting for this job is in a waste building at a pharmaceutical facility. The environment is temperature controlled.
• Will be exposed to a physical environment, which involves power equipment and noise, most of the workday.
