PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:

1. Repairs and performs maintenance tasks on battery-powered pallet jacks, forklifts, and narrow aisle high lifts.
2. Repairs building hardware and interiors.
3. Installs and repairs rack systems.
4. Learn basic and safe operations of facility systems such as sprinkler systems, fire alarms, building automation, and ammonia refrigeration systems.
5. Identify and solve problems with building systems and equipment safely and efficiently.
6. Perform a wide range of activities including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and metal fabrication work.

EDUCATION AND JOB KNOWLEDGE:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience as a maintenance mechanic preferred.
• Basic understanding of electrical circuits, hydraulic circuits, mechanical systems, and engine repairs.
• Knowledge of safe maintenance repair practices.
• Understanding of Maintenance Department organization and planning.

FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Physically demanding position requiring heavy lifting (50-100 lbs.) and continuous standing.
• Ability to perform physical activities such as pushing, pulling, crouching, kneeling, bending, and handling.
• Work in hot and cold environments.
• Willing to work overtime, including weekends.
• Effective communication in English required.
• Position is 3rd shift with starting pay rate of $20.75/hr.
